Our Chief Exec, Frazer was out an about presenting at the Keep Scotland Beautiful conference for its People & Places partners. The topic?..wellbeing and happiness of course!
Keep Scotland Beautiful's annual People & Places conference heard how the credibility of wellbeing measures was on the increase as society sought to move away from the clearly flawed measure of economic progress, Gross Domestic Product.
Delegates came from across Scotland, mainly local government. Frazer encouraged them to think of creative ways to use the existing provisions of the Local Government Act 2003. This gave local authorities the Power to Advance Wellbeing. However, there is little evidence to suggest that any locla authorities in Scotland know what this power is for or could achieve.
