| Scottish firms to compete for European environmental awards |

 As previous entrants to the Vision in Business for the Environment Scotland (VIBES) Awards, Dry Lube Ltd and Serpent Project (Subsea 7) will compete next year for the Process Award and International Cooperation Award respectively. VIBES will be working with them to strengthen and improve their applications before submission to Europe next month. The European jury meets in February and the Awards ceremony will be held in June 2008. Forward Scotland sits on the VIBES steering group.
