Over £61,000 was agreed to be funded to three projects at the Viridor Credit panel meeting held in Dunbar in May. The following projects were assessed at the meeting:

1) Athelstaneford Hall: This project included the re-roofing of the village hall at Athelstaneford. The hall is the only community asset within the village that can be used as a meeting place. The panel awarded a grant of £12,262.50 to this project.

2) Port Seton Park: The panel agreed to award £30,000 towards the refurbishment of the George V playpark at Port Seton to create a modern, safe and vandal free range of play equipment for small children.

3) St Andrew Blackadder Hall: The well used community hall attached to the St Andrew Blackadder Church, North Berwick was awarded £19,675 towards the cost of new windows. The windows were in need of replacement due to wear and tear and the new windows will allow more natural light into the hall, making it more attractive.
