GRADES™ is the first training and work experience programme in Europe designed for Graduates to support small to medium sized companies realise their CSR aspirations. Graduates enhance their employability, improve their generic skills, learn about new cultures and languages and undertake challenging and meaningful work.  Businesses benefit from the delivery of key CSR projects that enhance credentials, reduce costs and/or attract new business.
This programme was developed in 2007 and in 2008/09 12 placements were hosted by companies in Hungary and Malta funded by the European Union. 


GRADES achieves

  • New or stronger business to community relationships
  • Reductions in resource usage by companies; waste, energy, water & travel 
  • New contracts, cost reductions, increased profits or jobs safeguarded
  • Champions for CSR performance 
  • Graduates with high levels of sustainability within their core competencies 
  • Graduates who are more informed of the needs of employers and the job market  
  • 80% of graduates into sustained employment within 3 months of placement completion
