 It was clear that with open & accessible awards and a network of supporting organisations that they struck the right chord with local people. In 2009 we aim to recongise achievement of a second group of inspiring individuals but need partners to take things forward. A key element of the award is funding to allow the 4 main category Champions the opportunity to develop their skills or spread their message to a wider audience. The awards allow individuals, business and public and community sector organisations to nominate individuals who have achieved local, regional or national success in the area of sustainable communities.
